In the run-up to Christmas, we traditionally meet here in the Salzkammergut at Christmas markets. Each of the backdrops: unique and magical!

Each Christmas market in the Salzkammergut enchants in a special way and is worth a visit.

Most Christmas markets in the Salzkammergut are open from mid-November to early December.

St. Wolfgang Christmas Market:

The Wolfgangsee Advent Market is one of the largest and most well-known Christmas markets in Austria. It attracts over 100,000 visitors every year. The highlight ... of course the floating giant peace light lantern.

Mondsee Christmas Market

 The Mondsee Christmas Market is a popular destination for visitors from all over the world. The market is held in the historic town of Mondsee, which is located on the shores of the Mondsee, a beautiful lake in Upper Austria. The christmas market is a  a romantic and magical experience.

Hallstatt, a beautiful village located in the Salzkammergut region of Austria, is home to a unique Christmas market. It is an unique advent market in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Advent at Lake Attersee
